Deck Staining
With the crazy cost of wood for decks, it is a good idea to keep up the staining so that you can enjoy it for years to come. We can change the color or maintain what you already have. Deck boards (the part you walk on) are especially vulnerable to sun and moisture damage and should be coated regularly.

Painting your deck is not recommended. This is due to the amount of moisture that will need to pass through your decking as it evaporates from the ground. However, sometimes handrails can be painted for a special look. Speak to one of our trained sales professionals to find out what is best in your application.
When To Re-Stain Your Deck
Deck stain will last for different lengths of times depending on the amount of sun and moisture it is exposed to. Sun is the primary cause of deck board damage. If your deck is getting exposed to several hours of sun every day, you will notice it deteriorating quicker. Your handrails will typically last a bit longer because there are many sections of the handrails that don’t directly face the sun.
Another factor is the opaqueness of the coating. Solid stains will last the longest. We always recommend solid stains due to their longevity and evenness of color in application. If you are unsure about whether or not it is time to have your deck re-stained, contact us for a free estimate.

Our Deck Staining Process
We will use a pressure washer on a gentle setting to remove atmospheric dirt and mildew.
Sometimes boards rot on the top of the deck, steps or handrails. While we don’t provide structural repairs, we can replace the deck and handrail tops to keep your deck looking great.
Each deck will receive a two coat application of high-quality stain.
