Drywall Repair Before Painting
Any great paint job will have excellent drywall conditions. The older a home is, the more repairs tend to be required. In many homes around the greater Richmond area, age and settling have caused cracking and buckling to happen. Some homes have had the occasional ceiling damaged by a leaking roof or pipe. Sometimes a repair person will accidentally step through the ceiling.
Before we can begin painting, we need to ensure that any repair work has been properly floated so as to be hidden well behind the final coats of paint. Our crews can apply tape, drywall compound and even replace sections of drywall if needed to give you the finish you are looking for.

Our Drywall Repair Process
Assess what is needed- Not all drywall repairs will require the same level of work or materials.
Install the tape, compound and drywall section as necessary. Then float the compound layers and sand so that the repair has extremely low visibility.
Once the repair is complete, we will make sure the dust is reasonably removed and prime with appropriate drywall primer to make everything paint ready. See our Interior Painting service page for more information on our process after drywall repairs are complete.
